The history of America’s science fictiondon’t take my word say it with picturesman the life boats spaced out missionsonly the Pentagon has money for winchesand a screw come loose in the trenchesa vote for either or’s natural selection

channel choices, tunnel vision pilots

elect evangelical bargain basement schism

wall to wall cars throughout the solar system

can you buy your way past the world bank

K-9 shoppers as long as you don’t think the

whole Big Bang’s yours including the kitchen sink

the sky’s the limit while there’s enough to eat

keep your foot on the gas and remain in your seat.

12/2003.

Twisting inward like an inverted
Revolution.
we don't speak words, we speak Human.
like rattling mystery from our minds
unraveling your hearts in front of your eyes
we come to undo, be gravity-wise
ex-per-i-ence that most crystal voice
the common thread from within
aligning chakras like words on canvas
Poetry don’t pay the rent!I lament,
Un-human time spent
droning like usb
cords from fingertips
i am cyborg
the code is operating system
on a multi-platform
tight-leather-wearing
woman.I won’t dance in your magazines
Too alive for the page
be careful, my beauty is change
It moves.
It’s revolution, girl
You know what that is
Revolution Girl.
I’ve got the kind of beauty that moves
It's the kind of movement that grooves.
let me tell you it's time to infuse
your health and your happiness
your joy and your kindness
your revolutionary
Fine-ness!
People, we have work to do!!!!!
So Beware of the Babylon
inside your head, comrade,
Attitudinal culture-crosser
indeed holding loosely,
Giving ease to letting go.
Twisting inward like an inverted
Revolution.
we don't speak words, we speak
Human.

Do you wonder what keeps me up at night?
What whispers in my ear
Haunting me, it’s clear.

Several crews of guerrillas have been meeting recently to record their creative work, including a group collaborating with Bomani "D-Mite" Armah at Park Triangle Productions.  Featuring Ken Quam (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Jessica Philie (backing vocals and lead vocals), Kristen "Drum Lady" Arant (oboe, djembe, backing vocals, vocal arrangement) and Shahid (lead vocals), two recently mixed-down GPI anthems include:

In San Francisco, the Collaborative Arts Insurgency (CAI) kicks it at the corner of 16th St. & Mission every Thursday night.  The community's been rockin since the summer of 2003, and welcomes new comers with open arms.  If you're in the Bay Area at any point, check it out!

[Shout out to Jessica Philie for verse #3]

Graduated from high school
wanted not to be abused, a tool,
I needed money to get me my piece of paper
signed up for the White Man’s military capers.

Surprised to find myself on a transport boat
shipped across the wide, blue Atlantic moat.
You know the rest of the tale she wrote
or maybe then again you don’t. (See, I’ve been)

Chorus: shootin at brown people in the sand
giving Halliburton and Bechtel a hand
on what principles will we take a stand
I am a Patriot devoted to this land.

Got off the boat in a base in Basra
saw people everywhere, running around, lost and found
a colonial country getting slowly beaten down

Off on a convoy, in a Humvee
every twenty seconds, dodging RPGs
paying elevated fees to contractees
all the pills they got can’t stop the shakin in my knees (since we’ve been)

Chorus: shootin at brown people in the sand
giving Halliburton and Bechtel a hand
on what principles will we take a stand
I am a Patriot devoted to this land.

[Female voice] Look away, look away from the bombings on TV
My soldier’s over there instead of taking care of me
And our house and our dog and our family of three
His one weekend a month has turned into weeks,

Months, a year. Will he come back from there?
Our kids no longer miss him and I think I’m losing hair.
I’m a feeder, a cleaner, a driver, a teacher.
I need handouts and a loan just to keep up our home (Cuz they’ve been)

Chorus: shootin at brown people in the sand
giving Halliburton and Bechtel a hand
on what principles will we take a stand
I am a Patriot devoted to this land.

Driving up north in the Sunni triangle
feeling pride in a flag starry spangled
suddenly I find myself in metal tangled
from my hip what used to be my leg now dangles

my buddy’s in the driver’s seat, his body incomplete.
Where he sat before, now sits a piece of meat.
The flag on his coffin folded nice and neat,
in the wintertime, his widow won’t get enough heat (‘cause we’ve been)

Chorus: shootin at brown people in the sand
giving Halliburton and Bechtel a hand
on what principles will we take a stand
I am a
Matriot devoted to the planet.

Olivet (H.A.T.s in the Square)

"…it reminds me of the eulogy that Rabbi Yakov Perin gave for Baruch Goldstein, the Israeli settler who murdered 29 Palestinians in Hebron in 1994. He said, “One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.” ….I want to say that it's very deeply painful to me as a Palestinian that while Palestinians in Gaza are demonstrating,…to urge the resistance not to release the soldier until their prisoners and hostages held by Israel are released,… what all Israelis have to realize is that the age of colonialism has ended." — Ali Abunimah

In the beginning was the word and the word was bass. And the bass was good and Gawd saw that it was good and Gawd said and Gawd left plenty. Gawd left notes and files and jams and cycles…. and Vico saw
that Homer saw and Virgil heard and cyphered the story of blindness and
loss of self and he turn Us all into brave warriors who feared nadathin,
and refused to forget and stepped to fate like like yänkee and
